Manchester United academy graduate Rashford was almost guaranteed a place in the Three Lions’ ranks not all that long ago, with the jet-heeled forward racing to a half-century of caps on the back of making his senior international debut in 2016.

Struggles at club level have, however, left the 27-year-old frontman sweating on selection when more recent squads have been announced. Gareth Southgate found no place for Rashford at Euro 2024.
A loan spell at Aston Villa last season did allow a professional spark to be rekindled, before another injury struck, while the summer of 2025 delivered a loan move to Barcelona. Rashford is playing with a smile on his face again alongside Lamine Yamal and Co.
