ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Real Madrid secured their second trophy of the season on Wednesday, triumphing 3-0 over Pachuca in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final. However, Kylian Mbappe remains far from satisfied with the team's achievements as the French forward has set his sights on winning all five remaining trophies this season, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his new club and their pursuit of further glory.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mbappe completed his highly anticipated move to Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, kicking off his journey in the royal white by lifting the UEFA Super Cup in August, where he scored in a 2-0 victory over Atalanta. Despite his successful start, the French forward has struggled to find his best form on a personal level. With 13 goals in 23 appearances, his tally isn't poor, but it falls short of his usual high standards. Recently, however, Mbappe has shown signs of improvement, scoring in consecutive games and looking sharper in his recent performances. The forward is now focused on leading Real Madrid to all major trophies by the end of the season, starting with the Spanish Super Cup next month.

WHAT KYLIAN MBAPPE SAID
Speaking after the 3-0 win over Pachuca, Mbappe said (as quoted by SPORT): "The season is very long. We soon have the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia when we come back from vacation and then we have very important titles. Now we have to enjoy the two [trophies] we have won and continue to be hungry for the five that are left."

WHAT NEXT FOR REAL MADRID?
Mbappe will aim to continue his good form when Real Madrid host Sevilla in a LaLiga fixture on Sunday, December 22. The soon-to-be 26-year-old has scored nine goals in the league.
